I recently tweeted about the following clip and thought I would write a very short piece about how you might like to consider using this clip in a strengths and/or wellbeing workshop.

This short clip (less than 5 minutes) from the animated movie, “Up!”, can be found here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTDP-A--BhE

If you are facilitating a strengths workshop, you might like to use this clip for some strengths spotting; the VIA Character Strengths (www.viacharacter.org) that are evident in this clip include but not limited to:

  • Bravery
  • Learning
  • Curiosity
  • Forgiveness
  • Perseverance
  • Hope
  • Zest

If you are facilitating a strengths workshop, and use the 5 Ways to Wellbeing framework (www.fivewaystowellbeing.org), each of connect, take notice, give, keep learning and be active are evident;  this short clip provides opportunity for a great introductory discussion regarding ideas implementing each of these 5 strategies for wellbeing.

Also, it brings elevated positive mood just in the watching!  Enjoy!
